| The Bronze Color Guard
medal was created for presentation at the State and Chapter levels.
The basic requirement is that a Compatriot participate in Color Guard
activities for a period of not less than 3 years and participate in no
less than 50% of the Chapter or State Color Guard activities. This
service may be broken, not continuous service, and can be awarded
retroactively, so that a living Compatriot may receive it for past
service.
National's Silver Color Guard medal was created as a reward for faithful services at the District and National levels. The requirements are that the recipient must have attended one National Congress and one Trustees Meeting in each year of a three year period. A District Parade (i.e. Point Pleasant, Cowpens, California's George Washington Massing of the Colors) will substitute for a Trustees Meeting. Without a National Congress, the recipient must have participated in both Trustees Meetings and two authorized District parades as designated. Special National and Historic events will qualify as a substitute for the Congress or Trustees Meetings as designated by the National Color Guard Committee. |
